Business and Economics Club

Brandon Feng

Calling all Wall Street enthusiasts!

The Business and Economics club, moderated by AP Macroeconomics teacher Mr. Brady, serves as an “umbrella” group that incorporates a number of different clubs within it. These clubs include the Entrepreneurship Club, the Microfinance Club, and the Green Wave Stock Exchange. Freshmen and sophomores can also participate in the Euro Challenge, where students can show off their knowledge of European monetary policy and win prizes of up to $1250. The group also hosts a number of different events and activities such as fundraisers, field trips, and guest speakers.

A new, exciting feature of the club this year are the Bloomberg Terminals in Room F169, where club meetings are held. The Bloomberg Terminal is computer software that provides everything finance, including real-time market data, trading platforms, news, and messaging systems. It is an incredible resource which all clubs will have access to, so if anything, the software itself is enough of a reason to join.

There are a number of things to participate in. Meetings are held every F day; show up, find out what you’d be interested in, and get involved.
