Capture a dream within a dream. Bottle lingering imagination into permeance by submitting to this year’s “Delta”.
From now through January, Delbarton’s premiere literary magazine is accepting submissions with a theme of “snapshots.” The theme is not a hard edge for each work to follow: rather, it is an overarching idea of grasping the ephemeral. Poetry comes to mind as a form of snapshot, often regarded as a “painting in words.” Still, feel free to capture so much more. From visceral violence, raw exposure of self, and disparate connections, poetry has the power to bring a mind and soul to paper. Similarly, short stories, essays, art forms, and of course, photography, are welcome as well.
Students are encouraged to send in their work as soon as possible. The selection process is known for its inclusivity, ensuring a variety of voices and styles are represented in the final publication.
This year’s edition of “The Delta” promises to be a collection of thought-provoking and imaginative works that reflect the depth and diversity of Delbarton’s student body. Students are reminded that their submissions are not just contributions to a school magazine but are timeless pieces that encapsulate their youthful creativity and intellectual curiosity. Ultimately, The Delta seeks raw, authentic expressions that resonate with the experience of being a student, a dreamer, and a thinker.
