On Sunday, October 5, Delbarton School welcomed over 1,000 prospective students and families to campus for the 2025 Open House. More than just a showcase of programs and facilities, the event served as a living expression of what makes Delbarton a community built on purpose, brotherhood, and the pursuit of excellence.
Throughout the day, current students had the opportunity to guide guests, share personal experiences, and offer a glimpse into daily life at the school. The atmosphere was marked by genuine conversations and a strong sense of hospitality.
A Warm Welcome from the Start
The day began in the Fine Arts Center Theater, where families were greeted by Mr. Jake Ross, Dean of Admissions & Financial Aid, and Fr. Michael Tidd, O.S.B., Headmaster of Delbarton. Their remarks introduced the school’s mission—not only to educate, but to form young men of character, leadership, and integrity.
A student-led panel followed, answering live questions from the audience. Topics ranged from academic rigor to time management, friendships, and spiritual growth. The discussion aimed to provide a transparent, student-centered view of what life is like at Delbarton.
Campus Tours and Breakout Sessions
After the welcome, student ambassadors led families across the school’s 187-acre campus. Each tour was more than a walk through classrooms and fields—it was a window into the daily rhythm of the Delbarton experience. Visitors saw science labs in action, the arts wing alive with creativity, and athletic facilities that support a wide range of interests and talents.
Breakout sessions addressed topics such as middle school admissions, financial aid, transportation, extracurricular opportunities, and the role of faith and service. Faculty and administrators were available throughout the afternoon to offer deeper insight and answer questions.
What Stood Out
The most frequently mentioned takeaway among visitors was the sense of brotherhood. That feeling of camaraderie, mutual support, and shared purpose is at the heart of the Delbarton experience. Whether in classrooms, athletic competitions, or spiritual retreats, students push each other to grow, not just academically, but as people.
Looking Ahead
Open House 2025 was more than an admissions event. It was a reminder of what makes Delbarton distinct, a community where tradition and transformation go hand in hand, where young men are formed not only for college, but for life.
Guests left with more than a view of the campus. They left with a sense of what it means to belong to something bigger than a school. The hope is that many of those who visited will return, not just to tour, but to take the next step toward joining the Delbarton brotherhood.
